Cyborg entered the battle against Coenen as a 7 to 1 favorite.
The referee made an early stoppage in round 3 due to strikes although none of those strikes connected due to Coenen's excellent defense. However, Coenen wasn't doing anything in response, so the ref's decision is understandable. The outcome was never in doubt.
One error Marloes made was not setting up her right hand with an effective jab. She relied solely on her right hand punch with no jab and few, if any, combinations. Cyborg's striking was an impressive assault consisting of a stiff jab, powerful right cross and lightening combinations few male MMA fighters could withstand.

I hope the authorities investigate and charge Cris Cyborg Santos for cheating with steroids just as the federal government is poised to do to Howard Lederer of Full Tilt Poker for cheating regular folks out of millions of dollars with his online poker cheating crimes.
Cris Cyborg is juiced on steroids. Why do opponents like Marloes Coenen agree to fight this beast when it's so obvious Santos is cheating?
You morons. Cyborg was abnormally strong before her MMA days. That's how she got noticed by Chute Boxe in the first place. She's just a woman with unusual strength on her who trains hard and wins. Quit fucking dissing her.

I stand by my article 100%. It is Cris Cyborg who has dissed the great sport of MMA by cheating with performance enhancing drugs. You are naive to believe Cris Cyborg attained her man-like physique by doing extra push ups.
I couldn't tell you if she was skinny, but she was disproportionately strong for her size even back then, that was how she got noticed.
Some women CAN get that physique through sheer hard training. Most women do look smooth but not all. My mom has a lot of muscle after playing lots of sport all her life, maybe you think she takes steroids too?

So if we accept the premise that steroid/PED use is widespread in the male MMA world, logically there should be a proportionate amount of steroid use in the female MMA arena. We know that Carina Damm has already been busted for steroid use. If you had to pick another top female MMA fighter who exhibits all the signs of steroid use (masculine physique and strength, facial hair, acne, distorted facial features, etc.) who would you choose?
steroids are rampant in every major sport. and while cyborg has never failed a drug test, she sure looks like she does steroids.
